If the Al Gore solar minimum is indeed ending, as suggested in some quarters (“I think the solar minimum is behind us”) I will propose we use the disgusting moniker for the next minimum, which should be a lot worse.
But not just yet . . . this one may be bad enough. It’s like a giant light switch was turned off, or maybe a fuse blew, in October of 2005. Even though carbon dioxide goes up, climate gets colder. Maybe climate is more connected with the Sun!
