Retired senior NASA atmospheric scientist, Dr. John S. Theon, the former supervisor of James Hansen, NASA’s vocal man-made global warming fear soothsayer, has now publicly declared himself a skeptic and declared that Hansen “embarrassed NASA” with his alarming climate claims and said Hansen was “was never muzzled.”

…”I appreciate the opportunity to add my name to those who disagree that global warming is man made,” Theon wrote to the… Committee on January 15, 2009. “I was, in effect, Hansen’s supervisor because I had to justify his funding, allocate his resources, and evaluate his results,” Theon, the former Chief of the Climate Processes Research Program at NASA Headquarters…

“Hansen was never muzzled even though he violated NASA’s official agency position on climate forecasting (i.e., we did not know enough to forecast climate change or mankind’s effect on it). Hansen thus embarrassed NASA by coming out with his claims of global warming in 1988 in his testimony before Congress,” Theon wrote…

Hansen has maintained erroneous projections of global warming since 1988; advocated criminal penalties against his critics; and recently proposed a government wealth redistribution scheme leveraging his false prognostications (AGW) as a weapon against capitalism and free markets.

Time is running out for this leftist apparatchik and bogus computer whisperer.

Having successfully completed his mission to model the impact of highly toxic anthropogenic carbon dioxide on Earth’s future (as opposed to present) temperature, James Hansen is now productively engaged in pointing out to President-Elect Obama some key, previously obscure, means of spreading wealth around. Who would’ve thought that AGW was a play against capitalism?

Happily, Hansen stipulates that carbon caps should make no more stinking millionaires. (Al Gore must be a BILLIONAIRE, and smells fine).

“Even a civil servant can do long division” except if he or she is running a highly complex computer model.

I sincerely hope that Hansen did not write this monstrosity; but based on history, my hope is apparently groundless.

Richard Feynman: It’s Not a Scientific World

Richard Feynman comments colorfully on the Cargo Cult Science of Al Gore and James Hansen, far in advance (1974). As Luboš Motl relates it:

Feynman was trying to explain what’s wrong with various careless, agenda-driven, biased, preconceived mental frameworks that try to pretend that they are scientific but they don’t honestly eliminate falsified hypotheses according to the results of objective tests.

The falsified hypotheses of Al Gore and James Hansen are indeed resilient. On the surface, it’s not a scientific world, Richard; nor in the short term. We must admit to living in a world sullied by eruptions of cargo cult science, precisely as described in the video below. In the end, real science will inevitably triumph. Al Gore and James Hansen will sooner, or later eschew their cargo cult science, just as the aborigines of Australia have done.

Crisis of Lies at NASA GISS

The recent news (here) of James Hansen and his carbon jihadists fabricating “scientific” data from the Ripogenus Dam -Maine USHCN station, long after it closed, marks a new zenith of delusion at NASA. For eleven years after the station ceased all operations, “global warming” data from stations like the one below (touted as “the highest quality network of temperature stations in the world,” obviously a vast misrepresentation in itself) were generously massaged to create “junk” data which was then misrepresented as if it were ongoing measurements from Ripogenus Dam.

Lie is compounded by lie from NASA GISS – to prove that Americans have too much energy. Drilling now could prevent deaths (which certainly would be be caused by cooling; not warming – starvation is already underway!) by the winter of 2009/10 – but instead we should SPEND $trillions in long range research programs to invent hypothetical alternative energy sources, and save lives starting not before 2020 supposing Earth’s climate will finally synch up with James Hansen’s delusion.

Those research programs will obviously be “The highest quality research programs in the World.” Unreliable when it comes to saving the lives of the elderly, the hungry, children, or the freezing, though.

End the arrogance, James Hansen; you are about to cause fatalities. Actually, you have already done so. You have invented a whole new class of “facts”, feeding a mindless stampede to oblivion with arrogant lies and false science. We don’t need renewable energy that causes starvation; what we do need is solutions for the next Little Ice Age; or the next real Ice Age. You have no valid data suggesting any change in the drivers of Earth’s climate; or if you do, we know for sure the data is massively cooked.

If you have a LOT OF MONEY, like Teresa Heinz Kerry, perhaps you would like to incentivize government employee, progressive advocate, and political campaigner Hansen to forecast point 4 (not shown). Like it or not, you are doing the same, anyway.

Dividing the Hansen projected change, by the actual change, between 1988 and today, yields an error of just about 500 percent. But you check it.

Neither repeated violations of the Hatch Act, nor an error in climatic projections of 500 percent, seem to impede James Hansen.

Exploding energy costs, and exploding insurance costs, in the United States, are due to James Hansen, and his 500 percent error rate.

Perhaps a little impediment should be applied.

Growing Twilight Zone Inside James Hansen

Hindsight used to be 20/20, wasn’t it?

Not in the case of Al Gore and his Science Advisor, James Hansen of NASA. Hindsight is unreal.

For James Hansen, and thus for you, the past keeps getting colder; and the present keeps getting hotter! History is an abstraction; a twilight zone, a dimension without temperature, surface stations, or time. A dimension of infinitely flexible hockey sticks, where the mushy puck is your mind. A dimension where toxic carbon dioxide creates heat today, frost yesterday, and confusion tomorrow, all on the same day.

A dimension where the anomaly is the correction, and the correction is the anomaly.

Here is James Hansen’s twilight zone correction factor of temperature; but wait, it is the same as James Hansen’s temperature! Beyond Outer Limits? or standard operating procedure to Al Gore, the IPCC, and the cash-sucking government of the United States.
